We Are the Fight, Inc. has applied to the Internal Revenue Service for recognition as a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our application is currently pending IRS determination.
In accordance with applicable IRS rules, We Are the Fight may accept charitable contributions while its application is pending. If our application is approved with tax-exempt status effective as of our date of formation, qualifying donations made during the pending period may be treated as tax-deductible charitable contributions under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Important Donor Notice: Because our 501(c)(3) application has not yet been approved, donors do not currently have advance assurance that contributions are tax deductible. If the IRS approves our application with an effective date covering the date of your donation, your contribution may qualify as tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. If our application for tax-exempt status is denied, contributions made to We Are the Fight during the pending period will not be tax deductible as charitable contributions.
We Are the Fight will update this notice upon receipt of the IRS's determination.
